  • Mindfulness
In the Year 10 Visual Arts class, you will explore three distinct areas of Visual Arts.  Through investigations into African sculpture, Abstract Art and Surrealism, you will develop a breadth of knowledge that will give you an understanding of the many ways that artists have been inspired to create great and imaginative works. After investigating these 3 very distinct art forms , you will  create your own artworks inspired by your explorations. You will communicate your learning in a variety of ways such as Process Journal entries and studio works. You will create works in both two and three-dimensional media.

Assessment
You will be assessed using a cumulative approach to calculate your grades which will fall within the 1-7 range.

The four assessment criteria in Visual Arts are:
Criteria A – Using Knowledge - 8 points
Criteria B – Developing Skills - 8 points
Criteria C – Thinking Creatively - 8 points
Criteria D – Responding - 8 points
